Human Recognition Systems attend Biometrics 2009 for the eighth consecutive year

November 6th, 2009

Biometrics 2009 is the leading event for the UK Biometrics industry; bringing together the key players from all biometric disciplines, it provides an opportunity to inform and review the progress within the industry.

Human Recognition Systems (HRS) was the only UK biometric consultancy and system integrator exhibiting at this year's event; for a record eighth consecutive year.

HRS used the event to showcase and demonstrate their new mobile biometric platform recently integrated into a biometric data capture system for the MoD. The mobile platform is flexible for use across a number of biometric devices, extending it's capability for wider use in both defence and homeland security systems.

Also on the stand, HRS presented new iris technology: the HBox from the Hoyos Group, which captures iris on the move. The pioneering technology is currently under going further testing and review by the HRS technology and business development teams at head office.

After a successful year in aviation with several big wins, HRS showcased the MFlow solutions for passenger management, security and efficiency. HRS Aviation Business Development Consultant, Jim Slevin, also delivered a presentation on the Iris Biometric Staff Access Scheme rolled out to Manchester Airport, the first scheme in Europe to become mandatory for all airside ground staff, March 2009.

HRS has continued to grow throughout 2009 winning three major contracts, despite the economic climate. Well positioned to continue expansion into 2010, they have several big contracts to deliver and exciting new product development underway.
