MSecureSearch: The hands off approach to passenger security screening at airports MSecureSearch is a state of the art passenger search lane efficiency system that allows airport operators to increase security, enhance passenger experience and reduce operational costs. A secure, user friendly solution it has been specifically designed to reduce passenger wait time and eliminate the manpower intensive and invasive approach to searching passengers before they enter the departures area at airports.
MSecureSearch combines powerful human behavioural analytics which monitor passenger numbers, queuing times, passenger flow maps and measure throughput performance (see MQueue), with an automatic 'search tunnel' which is integrated with the walk through metal detector (WTMD) and X-ray scanner for hand bags.
MSecureSearch in Action
- A passenger is intuitively guided to enter the 'search tunnel' by an audio visual interface.
- A volumetric check ensures that only one person can gain access into the search tunnel (intelligent software configured to identify adults, minors, and people with reduced mobility, adults carrying a child etc).
- WTMD will alert if a passenger requires further checking by an airport security officer (ASO).
- If Yes, the passenger is photographed and directed to the search area for security check by the ASO's.
- If No, the passenger is guided into the airside.

Installation of the MSecureSearch solution will allow passengers to self service themselves through security checks; implying that most passengers will have no contact with ASO's resulting in reduced wait time, removing one of the notorious bottlenecks at airports. The solution allows airport operators to better manage their staff resources and improve their facilities layout by using the information provided by the queue management and passenger flow mapping system.
