BBC's One Show Feature demonstrates MSecurePod in action at Manchester Airport

Use our knowledge to your benefit!

Human Recognition Systems have worked with UK airport operators for the last six years, understanding the processes, the people, the commercial pressures, customer service issues and security requirements.  This insight has led us to create a series of airport security systems which improve security, passenger experience and flow and deliver significant commercial benefit.

Traditional security measures treat everyone the same, as if they were dangerous terrorists, illegal aliens or criminals.  This is very intrusive and labour intensive, considering that the vast majority of passengers and staff are 100% honest. Our solutions are designed to be unobtrusive and intelligent.  They leave the straightforward passengers to go about their business normally, picking out those who display abnormal behaviour or try to break the rules, and concentrate security resources on them.

HRS have brought biometric identity verification, human behaviour analytics and video analytics to the aviation industry using experience gained working on Government identity schemes and with the MOD and HM Prisons.

Our expertise increases your profit!

Our systems are used to reduce staff overhead and operating cost by increasing efficiency - ASO's can be deployed when and where they are needed rather than being on constant guard. People can get where they need to be quickly and safely and take full advantage of the airport's facilities and retail outlets.

Our success gives you confidence!

Although most of our work involves cutting edge technology and process, HRS have worked  to test and install these systems at Manchester Airport, satisfying the management and DfT of their effectiveness and demonstrating high levels of technical and engineering expertise, proving without doubt that we can deliver systems which work.

Can we work together to deliver the airport of the future?

Improved Security

MFlow - uses human behavioural analytics (HBA) which detects direction of movement of people to operate security door.  Allows people to exit from the airplane through to baggage collection, customs and arrivals, but does not allow them to loiter or back-track without triggering alerts to security guards.

MSecure - brings together three components i.e. biometric device, volumetric portal and airport card management system housed in an enclosed portal, which allows through only one person at a time.  The biometric access control system allows airport staff to pass through into secure areas without a security guard to be in attendance 24/7 to check identity cards.

Improved People Flow

MSearch - allows automated search area lanes for passengers passing from check in through to departures by linking turnstile gates to the walkthrough metal detectors.  Only passengers that set off alarms need the attention of the security staff, making progress through security quicker and easier for most people.

MQueue - intelligent video analytics are used to manage queue lanes, ensuring that staffing levels are optimised on an ongoing basis, peak flow times are predicted and catered for and queuing times are minimised for passengers.
